The Hospice of Hope Care Center and the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center are committed to the protection of our patients, families, visitors, and staff against the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID- 19). We are working with our local and state departments of public health, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Center for Disease Control to help prevent the spread of COVID- 19.
As a measure of prevention, Hospice of Hope is following the recommended screenings of all patients, families, visitors, and staff who wish to visit their loved one at one of our dedicated end-of-life care center locations.
General Inpatient Center patients are allowed two visitors per shift, and shifts are 7AM to 7PM and 7PM to 7AM. These visitors can not be interchangeable. Upon entrance to the facility, visitors will be screened and their temperatures obtained. If a visitor fails the screening and/or has a fever greater than 99.9 degrees, the visitor will not be allowed to enter the facility. Once the visitor passes the screening and is granted visitation, hand hygiene should be performed. The visitor should then go directly to the patient’s room. Visitors are not allowed in common areas, and they will not be allowed to re-enter the facility if they leave the Hospice of Hope Campus.
Hospice of Hope Staff will assist with virtual visits as needed. Respite patients are not allowed any visitation, unless the patient’s condition changes and shows signs of imminent end-of-life. Visitors who reside outside of our service area may not be granted visitation rights. There will be no exceptions to the policy, and Hospice of Hope reserves the right to change the visitation at any time.
Please contact Hospice of Hope at 1-800-928-4848 with any additional questions related to visitation guidelines.
