The Hospice of Hope Care Center is designed for short-term care to manage acute symptoms, to adjust medications and treatment plans, and to provide pain control. The Care Center may be used when a patient needs medical attention that cannot be given in a home setting or when a patient who is approaching death has chosen to spend his or her final days at the center. The Care Center Visitation Guidelines

Hospice of Hope provides high quality end-of-life care to those who live in our twelve-county service area. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our highest priority is to protect our vulnerable patient population and the staff who serve them. After careful consideration and by following federal, state, and local guidelines, Hospice of Hope has outlined the following visitation guidelines:

  • Patients who test negative for COVID-19 are allowed unlimited visitors, however, there may only be four visitors at bedside at a time due to social distancing.  Any extra visitors will be expected to remain in the family room and switch out.
  • Patients who test positive for COVID-19 are allowed unlimited visitors, however, there may only be one visitor at bedside at a time. Visitors will need to wear full PPE at all times while in the patient’s room.  Full PPE will be provided for them.  All visitors should remain outside of the facility until they can be permitted in the patient’s room.  Visitors will need to enter and exit the patient’s room through the patio door.
  • Visitors should practice social distancing and wear a mask while at the inpatient facility. If a visitor does not have a mask, a mask may be provided to them. Visitors must wear a mask the entire time they are inside the facility.
  • Our family room and public restrooms are open; visitors will need to wear masks and social distance while in the family room.
  • Pet visitation has been suspended at this time.
  • Outside food and drinks are permitted in our facility.
  • Flower delivery service is permitted in our facility.
  • Hospice of Hope Staff will assist with virtual visits as needed.
  • There will be no exceptions to this policy.

Hospice of Hope appreciates your understanding and your help maintaining the COVID-19 precautions for the safety of your loved one, our hospice patients, families and our staff.
