Hospice of Hope Care Center

The Hospice of Hope Care Center is designed for short-term care to manage acute symptoms, to adjust medications and treatment plans, and to provide pain control. The Care Center may be used when a patient needs medical attention that cannot be given in a home setting or when a patient who is approaching death has chosen to spend his or her final days at the center. The Care Center also offers respite care to relieve caregivers on a temporary basis.

The Care Center Visitation Guidelines

Hospice of Hope provides high quality end-of-life care to those who live in our twelve county service area.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our highest priority is to protect our vulnerable patient population and the staff who serve them.  After careful consideration and by following federal, state, and local guidelines, Hospice of Hope has outlined the following visitation guidelines:

  • Patients who test negative for COVID-19 are allowed unlimited visitors.
  • Patients who test positive for COVID-19 are allowed two visitors per shift.  Shifts are 7AM to 7PM and 7PM to 7AM.  These visitors are not interchangeable.
  • Each visitor will be met at the facility entrance and will have their temperature obtained. If the visitor has a fever greater than 99.9 degrees, the visitor will not be allowed to continue to the unit.  Once the visitor passes the temperature screening and is granted visitation, hand hygiene should be performed.  The visitor should go directly to the patient’s room.
  • Visitors should practice social distancing and wear a cloth mask while at the inpatient facility.  If a visitor does not have a mask, a cloth mask may be provided to you.  Visitors must wear a mask the entire time they are inside the facility.
  • Pet visitation has been suspended at this time.
  • Outside food and drinks are permitted in our facility.
  • Flower delivery service is permitted in our facility.
  • Hospice of Hope Staff will assist with virtual visits as needed.
  • There will be no exceptions to the policy.

Hospice of Hope appreciates your understanding and your help maintaining the COVID-19 precautions for the safety of your loved one, our hospice patients, families and our staff.   Please ask to speak with a Hospice of Hope staff member if you have any questions or concerns.
