The RN On Call (4p-12a, M-F) provides compassionate nursing care for terminally ill patients. Provides skilled nursing assessment, triage, admissions service, and care to patients in the Hospice of Hope service area after regular business hours and on weekends as scheduled. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current eligibility for RN licensure in Kentucky and Ohio. At least one-year experience in a patient care position in a hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility with demonstrated knowledge of end of life or palliative care preferred. Personal qualities of empathy, responsibility, and dependability. Must demonstrate effective communication skills with team members, providers, patients, and family members. Must have ability to work independent of direct on-site supervision. Works weekend rotation as scheduled.
