What is the Inpatient Center?

The Inpatient Center is designed for short-term care to manage acute symptoms, adjust medications, or to provide pain control. The center may be used when a patient needs medical attention that cannot be given at home or for patients who are approaching death and do not want to die at home. The Inpatient Center also provides respite care to relieve a patient’s caregiver on a temporary basis.on and by following federal, state, and local guidelines, Hospice of Hope has outlined the following visitation guidelines:

  • Offers five private suites furnished and decorated to provide a comfortable, home-like environment to patients and their families. Offers a community room for families that is equipped with akitchenette for additional comfort.
  • Is fully staffed with Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley personnel who specialize in providing patients and families with supportive, holistic, end-of-life care.
  • Provides respite care for caregivers/families whoneed temporary relief from the stress of caring for a loved one at home.
    Provides transitional care to patients and families needing education on caring for their loved one’s increasing needs and for
    arrangements to be made for hospice at home.
  • Encourages open visitation by family and friends, and offers support, compassion, and empathy to families experiencing the emotional issues with their loved one’s illness and death.
  • The Inpatient Center also practices comfort through music, prayer, meditation, visits by apatient’s beloved pet or small children, and visits with hospice volunteers.

Where is the Inpatient Center Located?

The Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center is conveniently located on the second floor of the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio. The medical facility is located at Moore’s Road and State Route 32 in Adams County. The strategic location of the Inpatient Center is in the heart of our service area and is positioned to provide the best possible care to those that are truly in need of premier hospice care.
