March 30th is National Doctor’s Day, and we at Hospice of Hope wanted to recognize all physicians all over the world who risk their lives each day to make sure we are in good health. National Doctor’s Day first begun in 1933 in Winder, Georgia, which was the first anniversary of a doctor using ether anesthesia. Today we continue to celebrate medical advances like this and thank all doctors everywhere who have spent so much time and energy mastering their field of expertise and caring for their patients so well.
More than ever, it's so important to pause and give recognition to our doctors today and let them know they are much appreciated, especially in the midst of this health pandemic. We also want to give a special shout out to our Hospice of Hope team of highly skilled physicians specializing in end of life care:
W. Craig Denham, MD, Medical Director
Matthew Armstrong, MD, Team Physician
C. Timothy McKinley, MD, Team Physician
Regina Melink, MD, Team Physician
Lindy Nettleton, MD, Team Physician
Sally Wooten, MD, Team Physician
So, reach out to the doctors in your life and thank them for their hard work. Also, go ahead and schedule that check-up with your primary physician, and stay healthy out there!
