Recently our staff took part in a Creative Picture Contest. Most Creative Picture with a patient goes to Ashley Williamson, hospice aide. Ashley took a wonderful picture with our patient Helen Pakalnis who is a home patient in West Union. Ashley tells us that Mrs. Pakalnis was so excited to have her picture taken and thinks that she will be a “STAR” on TV. ⭐️She says, “it’s not every day that you get to take a picture with a pig’’. ????
Nursing Home/Home Hospice Assistant Ashley Williamson wrote, the following about the entry: Hospice to me is about caring, compassion, dedication, patience, love, family, friends, strangers, the elderly, the unfortunate, and everyone and everything in between. It is important in life to know that you make a difference to know that your existence has a purpose; Hospice means to me that there are no boundaries and that we all have the same basic needs. We all need kindness and understanding. I know that every day that I am a part of a hospice that provides a purpose bigger than myself, that I am contributing to the greater good. To know that I am leaving this world a better place than I found it.
Thank you Ashley for capturing this moment and for all you do for our patients. ????????
